Gems on Georgia Ave



Georgia Avenue. A location familiar to many D.C. residents, Howard University students and members of the Silver Spring community in Maryland. It is a colorful street decorated with black owned businesses, perfume and oil spots and ethnic cuisine from all over the world. Two spots, Dulcinea and Salt & Pepper Grill are new to the neighborhood that is Georgia Avenue.

Dulcinea Bar & Grill is a Mexican and Latin-American restaurant directly across from Howard University’s campus. The staff and cooks are extremely friendly and it is clear that they put effort into maintaining amazing customer service. Named after popular Mexican fictional character, Dulcineaprovides a chance for you to take a cultural excursion from its food, music and artwork. Dulcineais located on 2618 Georgia Ave, NW, Washington D.C. and will be sure to give you a bang for your buck!


Salt and Pepper Grill
 
The Salt and Pepper Grill offers a glimpse into authentic Indian/Pakistani cuisine. Replacing the GII Lounge on the corner of Georgia and Euclid, Salt and Pepper Grill offers tasty and yet affordable meals that will have you coming back for more. This family owned business sets an inviting atmosphere while still catering to the vibe of an every-day lunch stop spot. They offer a 15% Howard University discount to students as well as have many lunch and dinner specials. Salt and Pepper Grill is located at 2632 Georgia Ave, NW, Washington D.C., conveniently located across from Howard University’s main campus.
